BRIGHT FUTURES: Electrify Your Mind @ Your Library! Monday, Feb. 27, 6:30 PM

One week from today: Join us for a FREE, live science and electricity show to celebrate our new circulation materials and program series!

Thrill to wonders of Science! See the ELECTRIC PICKLE! Learn the wonders of harnessing the power of electricity–and then check out kits to do your own energy experiments at home

Thanks to a grant from IEEE (the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), the DeKalb Public Library and NIU STEM Outreach present a program designed to interest youth in science! In addition to programming, the DeKalb Public Library will have a variety of materials, including science kits, that families can check out and use at home!

Ages 10 and up! No need to sign up–just drop in and enjoy the show!

Brought to you by the DeKalb Public Library, NIU STEM Outreach, and  the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Foundation, the IEEE Life Members Committee, and the IEEE-Chicago Section.

TAG: Teen Advisory Group!

Look, guys, it’s really simple.

The Teen Advisory Group needs you.

You sit down with me, DeKalb’s Friendly Neighborhood Teen Librarian.

You get free pizza.

You get to choose the stuff YOU actually want to read, see, and use at the library.

I make sure that stuff is added to the collection.

How simple is that?

So … this Thursday, February 23, @ 6:30 PM. I’ll see you there!
