Downloadable eBooks
The DeKalb Public Library is now offering free downloadable eBooks through OMNI, www.omnilibraries.org. Choose from a large selection of popular fiction and nonfiction titles. EBooks are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
To checkout and download you need…
- A valid library card
- Internet access
- A computer or device that meets the system requirements for the type(s) of materials you wish to download
- Free software for the computer or device on which you wish to use the materials available at this site

If you do not have a DeKalb Public Library card, please contact your home library to check for e-book availability.
eBook Help! Labs
Our eBook Librarian, Jodi Sapita, is available on Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:00pm - 9:00pm and Wednesdays from 9:00am - 1:00pm for help on downloading the eBooks onto your eReaders. She will be near the adult circulation desk for your convenience. For the eBook Help! Labs check our calendar of events for specific times. These labs are hands-on help on how to learn to check out eBooks and eAudiobooks with our new Overdrive service. The Amazon Kindles are now compatible with our eBook service provider, Overdrive.

Downloadable eBooks are available to all DeKalb Public Library card holders. To get started, visit OMNI (online Media of Illinois).
Downloadable eAudiobooks
DeKalb Public Library card holders may now download audiobooks through OneClickdigital. Hundreds of fiction and nonfiction titles are available. Audiobooks from OneClickdigital are compatible with most MP3 players, iPods, iPhones and other portable listening devices.
Once you create an account, you may download titles from home at any time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can download 10 audiobooks at a time and they will remain on your listening device for 21 days.
To create your own OneClickdigital account, click on the OneClickdigital link below. Once in OneClickdigital, click on “Create New Account” on the top right of the screen. To set up a new account you will create your own user name and password. Once you have created your account, you may download audiobook titles directly through the OneClickdigital website.
Start your audiobook search by typing in an author or title or click on one of the featured titles on the OneClickdigital homepage.
