Get a bag of books for only a buck! Help us clear out our sale shelves because we're hosting our monthly Buck-a-Bag Book Sale. Fill up a plastic grocery bag or an equivalent with anything from our sale shelves and pay only a dollar. Great deals on library discards as well as recent donations, from children's books to hardcover fiction to AV items -- all these can be yours for just a Buck-A-Bag!
Always wanted to learn how to crochet? Or maybe you are just looking for others who share your favorite pastime? Either way this club is for you! Knitters are also welcome! You will need to bring your own supplies such as yarn and crochet hooks. This club is great for people who are beginners all the way up to advanced. If you are unsure of what you need, a basic crochet how-to booklet will be provided during classes. There is no sign up necessary. Did you miss a fun craft because it was at the wrong time or on the wrong day? Now you have another chance to create something fun, WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. Come in any time between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to make one, or several, craft projects with Miss Becky. Younger children should have an adult present to assist with any cutting or gluing required.
Make a disguise kit to hide who you are or to act silly with your friends. LIMIT 12, AGES 10-14 Sign-up ends at 8:00 a.m. the morning of the program.
The Writer’s Yarn is back for a second year with new activities, authors and fun! This year, the local author’s fair will start at 11:00am until 3:00pm on Saturday, June 1st at the library. It will feature booths with local authors, an Activity Nook with games, soccer demonstrations, face painting, story time and crafts, and a Reader’s Theatre for some interactive sessions and workshops with our authors. There will also be a raffle with exciting prizes! This event is free, open to everyone and will be located in the library’s parking lot on the corner of 3rd and Oak Street. There will be refreshments and baked goodies for purchase.
