DeKalb Public Library FAQ's
Cardholder Responsibility
A
cardholder assumes responsibility for all items checked out
on their card. Contact the library immediately if your
card is lost or stolen.

Limits
As a courtesy to other patrons, please do not borrow all
available items on one particular subject. The library
reserves the right
to limit materials in high demand and has set the following
limits on audio visual items:
10 DVDs per card
25 Videos per card
10 Books-on-tape or Books-on-CD per card
25 music CDs per card
Renewals
A valid library card is required at time of renewal.
Most items may be renewed one time only. Items on reserve may not
be renewed.
Fines
Videos: $1.00/day.............................$7

Rental Books: $.10/day.....................$5

Most other items: $.10/day...............$5
maximum
Fees
Lost or Stolen Cards
(replacement charge)........................$3
Charge added to Lost Items
(processing fee)................................$5
Reserves
Reserves may be placed on any items that are in the
Innopac System (library catalog). Reserves may be made in
person or by using one's account through the library's online
catalog. Reciprocal borrowers can place reserves on any
DeKalb items except for bestsellers.
Interlibrary
Loan
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service the library
provides for our patrons to request materials
that cannot be
found in the
Innopac System. ILL requests must be made in
person and patrons are limited to 10 outstanding requests at one
time. Reciprocal
Borrowers
need to
place ILL requests at their home library.
