Youth Services
Welcome to the Youth Services Department of the DeKalb Public
Library! Our collection serves infants, toddlers, preschoolers,
lower and upper elementary children, and middle school (5th - 8th
grades). It contains over 34,000 books, in
addition to board books, magazines, audio books, DVD's,
kits (book & cassette), CD's, and puppets. There are seven
computers for public use in the department. Three are for library
catalog access, two Internet stations, and two contain
children's software such as 'Magic School Bus.'
Young
visitors may enjoy story times and special programs for all
ages. There are several story time programs throughout
the year. Some are specially designed for toddlers, while
others are for preschoolers, school age children, or for
families.
